We love to camp!

We went camping this last weekend with my family and we had a blast!! We went up to Mantua Reservoir. We didn't realize that the reservoir was going to be closed for "Mantua days" so they could have some boat shows on the water, however they still would allow you to go swimming but due to the "swim at your own risk" sign posted near the beach and the sign below it that said "swimming prohibited by the health department" we decided against the whole swimming idea. The kids had found a little rope swing down at the creek by our campsite that they had fun with so we just decided to let them hang out there instead of getting some disease. They didn't care as long as they were able to be in the water. We even got to enjoy a few fireworks from the firework show Saturday night.

Family night fishing

Josh took the kids fishing on Saturday morning at this really fun Nature park close by. They were there for a few hours and didn't have any luck catching anything. The kids were pretty disappointed and really wanted to catch a fish so we decided to take them back over on Monday for family night. We had a lot more luck! We caught 3 catfish and the kids were very excited. These pictures are from Saturday's outing, we forgot to take the camera on Monday so we didn't get any snapshots of the fish we caught, but we will be sure to take it next time!

Boys will be boys!!

"Slow down Chase, you're going to get hurt"; "Slow down Chase, watch where you're going"; "Slow down Chase!" I find myself saying this just about every time the kids are outside riding their bikes. Well, this morning I was outside doing some yardwork and the kids were riding their bikes and apparently Chase was going a little too fast when all the sudden I heard screaming and looked up to see that he had crashed! I ran over to find blood all over his face! We cleaned him up a bit and found that he had cut it open pretty bad, so off to the doctor we went. He ended up with a really loose tooth and 5 stiches! I would like to think that he has learned his lesson and slow down a little next time, but seeing that he is a boy and they seem to have this undeniable urge to go fast, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Way to go Emily!!

My friend Emily was in a production of "Bye Bye Birdie" this past week! I went to see it on Wednesday and she was great!! It was great to sit outside and enjoy the play with my sisters, we definitely enjoyed some good laughs. I'm so proud of you Em!! You were so good and you looked great!

Dancing Queen

Kylee had her dance recital a couple of weeks ago and she looked great!! We are so proud of her, she danced so well and she wasn't even nervous! She had a great support group and we are so glad that everyone could make it, even Aunt Sheri who was in town from Washington!! Thanks everyone!
